Johnny grew up in South Dakota, where he became a state champion runner before earning a college scholarship. While in school, he started recording music but left to pursue it full-time. He finished his 2013 album Secret Wave with producer Wolfgang Zimmerman. Johnny later co-founded SUSTO before forming The Artisanals in 2016. Now, after touring internationally, he’s focusing on his solo work, with Para Llevar released in November 2024 via New West Records.

Known for his catchy and sharply observed musings, Osborne collaborates with a close-knit group to craft an expansive sound blending ’90s grunge-pop, beach-inspired spiritualism, 2010s indie rock and jam-infused psychedelia into their country-rock foundations.
