From The Beatles and Black Sabbath to Kurt Cobain, The Edgewater is home to legends and their stories. In honor of turning 60 this year, we’ve teamed up with Subterra Films to bring you an epic documentary that recounts the stories surrounding some of our most memorable guests and dives into our rich history within the Seattle community. Rock the Dock

In keeping with our rock roots, we hosted our second-annual unique live music event, Rock the Dock, on July 17, which featured a live band aboard a floating barge outside the hotel on Elliott Bay. Watch the video from our 2021 Rock the Dock and stay tuned for the 2022 video coming soon.

Now, the restaurant is one of the top-rated restaurants in Seattle and showcases the bounty of the PNW. In 1962, the Space Needle was built as an attraction for the World’s Fair. The Edgewater Hotel was originally used for employee housing for those who helped to build this iconic landmark. Over the years, the architecture of The Edgewater has continued to evolve and become one of the most distinctive and highly recognizable structures on Seattle’s waterfront.
