The Beatles suite at Edgewater with a round table, fireplace, lounge space, and bright Beatles inspired bedroom

The Beatles in Seattle

In 1964, during their first world tour, The Beatles stayed at The Edgewater Hotel in Seattle when no other hotel would accept them due to security concerns over their frenzied fans. Beatlemania took over the city, with cyclone fencing installed around the hotel, fans attempting to swim across Elliott Bay and the band returning from their concert by ambulance while decoys distracted the crowds. During their stay, The Beatles were famously photographed fishing from their suite window above Elliott Bay. That iconic image secured The Edgewater Hotel’s legendary place in Seattle and rock ’n’ roll history.
