Bumbershoot Information

Bumbershoot is one of the largest cultural events in Seattle every year – and it’s been held at the Seattle Center every year since 1972, when it was first founded. That’s 45 years of music and art history! You might wonder why it’s called the Bumbershoot festival. That’s easy: it’s Seattle, and it rains a lot, plus, they wanted Bumbershoot to be an umbrella festival under which all the arts were represented.

Don’t miss the best festival of the year in Seattle which encompasses all of the Seattle Center grounds, a campus originally created for the 1962 World’s Fair. Visit the Bumbershoot website for more information and to purchase tickets.
