The Sea Star rose to fame in 2004 after a television film crew joined Captain Larry Hendricks and his crew to film a documentary for the Discovery Channel titled “America’s Deadliest Season”. The documentary was seen by more than 100 million viewers worldwide and created the fever for a new television reality series which would follow and a handful of crab boats during the fall and winter months on the Bering Sea. “Deadliest Catch” is now seen in over 160 countries worldwide.
The Edgewater is also currently offering the Alaska’s Deadliest Catch package, available through September 6, which includes a four pack of tickets to tour of the Sea Star and overnight accommodations at The Edgewater. Rates for the Alaska’s Deadliest Catch package start at $223 plus tax.
