EDGEWATER HOTEL NAMED AMONG TOP 5 LUXURY HOTELS IN WASHINGTON BY EVENING MAGAZINE
Seattle, WA (May 5, 2009) — The Edgewater Hotel received top honors yesterday in the popular “Best of Western Washington & Northwest Escapes” poll conducted by KING 5’s Evening Magazine. Edging out tough competition such as the Fairmont Olympic Hotel and new Four Seasons Seattle, The Edgewater was named among the top 5 luxury hotels in the region for 2009, receiving a second place rating just behind Hotel 1000.
“We are thrilled with the recognition—we’re among great company,” said Rudy Sharp, managing director for The Edgewater. “As Seattle’s only waterfront hotel, we strive to offer the best accommodations and service in the Northwest. This award indicates the level of commitment we show our guests,” Sharp continued.
The annual “Best of Western Washington” poll was taken by over 20,000 people in early 2009. Winners were announced on Monday, May 4. Additional categories included best resort, best getaway, and best spa retreat, among many others.
