Seattle’s Best Location for ‘Cruising’
Cruising The Edge…
Whether traveling alone, or with friends, family, co-workers, infinity groups or others, when cruising from Seattle include a few extra days to enjoy the many experiences Seattle, Washington State, and the Pacific Northwest in general have to offer. Here, there is something for everyone: biking, golfing, hiking, kayaking, sailing, exploring museums and art galleries, sightseeing by seaplane or van, cooking classes, dining at gourmet restaurants or enjoying small pubs and bistros, casual wine-tasting or more formal wine-make dinner events.
Want more? Consider exploring beautiful gardens, watching glass-blowing artists in action or learning the skill personally, relaxing at a spa, learning about Native American culture from locals, attending a major sports activity, taking a whale-watching - wildlife excursion, experiencing some of our favorite attractions including icons like the Space Needle and the 100 year old Pike Place Market, enjoying a concert, stage show, opera, symphony, ballet, or local jazz, or simply shopping for that special "something." If time permits, spend a day or more at Mt. Rainier, Mount St. Helens, or exploring the Olympic Peninsula.
The 2010 Seattle cruise season looks to be spectacular, and The Edgewater is perfectly positioned to enhance any cruisers Northwest experience.
In 2010, Bell Street Pier (Pier 66 – next door to The Edgewater) continues to serve as homeport for Celebrity Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line. The big change in Seattle cruising occurred last year when the new cruise facility at Terminal 91 (or Pier 91) opened for business just north of downtown. The new terminal now serves Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean for the 2010 season and beyond. Pier 91 replaces the previous Terminal 30/Pier 30 for these ships (previously located well south of downtown) and now located just to our north. The Edgewater is the closest Four Star hotel to the new terminal, is right next to Pier 66, offering a truly unique Northwest experience as Seattle’s only waterfront hotel.
If it’s been awhile since you looked over The Edge, consider… The shimmering city is just behind you. Beautiful Elliott Bay is right at your feet. With dramatic views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains and the downtown skyline, and a location right on top of Pier 67, The Edgewater is at the city’s dynamic doorstep. All this plus award winning service and value for your pre or post cruise visit.
